T-Babe's two-year stats

Height: 35 1/2 inches (60th percentile)
Weight: 30 lbs., 4 oz. (76th percentile)

She is becoming more child-like every day. We can now make the switch to 2 percent milk. (I cannot imagine anyone choosing to chew drink whole milk.)

Tessa the Tiger: A Halloween Tale

The happiest tiger we've ever seen

Tessa with her friends Katelyn, the candy corn witch, and princess Brianna

Tessa the Tiger and Sam the Frog among their daycare friends

Tessa & cousin Amy trick-or-treating
The costumes they make these days sure beat the cheap plastic masks we had as kids. Wow. I sound old. Pretty sure we walked uphill both ways while
trick-or-treating, too ... in 10 feet of snow.

Tessa liked handing out candy more than getting it. At each house, she would say "Thank you" before "Trick-or-treat!"

This photo really doesn't need a caption. :)

Hairstylin' skillz

No, I did not do this. Eric didn't, either. One of Tessa's teachers is the talented one. When I pick Tessa up from daycare, it's fun to see what new 'do she's sporting. It's hard to believe she sits through the process. She sure doesn't do well when it's time to take them out. I should have Maggie come over to do that part, too.

Because we're dorks

Hey good lookin', what's cookin'?

A good activity while we're making supper...
Tessa's specialty is cheese in a bowl, sprinkled with peas. That's right, not the other way around.

Growing girl

On the second attempt (we first tried this months ago, but put the crib back together after bed time turned into play time), Tessa is doing remarkably well with her big girl bed. She stays in it (a relief!), and has only had one night of roll outs. She's getting way too big to sleep perpendicularly, but she seems to be comfortable. Plus, she's not as likely to fall out.

So, what do you do?

Tessa is well aware that Eric coaches. (Every night, she asks if we're going to a volleyball match.) She has no idea what I do, so we had a little discussion during supper the other night.

Eric: "I'm a teacher and a coach."
Tessa: "Teacher coach — woo woo!" (We have no idea why she was so excited about this.)
Me: "I'm a communications coordinator."
Tessa: "Me, too!"

And here we thought she played at daycare all day.

Cinderella

"Yeah, I better let you go. My mommy has me raking
the living room again."

Twins win! And Aaron has a birthday

We want cake!
(She still says that, by the way. Thanks, Uncle Aaron...)

Tessa's first Twins game (and Eric's and mine at Target Field) was a blast! Tessa slept soundly on Mima until the Twins scored and fireworks were launched. From then on, it was party time!
