Cabin weekend!

Playin' some bball outside of the cab'
This mess required a shower, which Tessa did not enjoy.
Tessa's first boat ride!
Summer sun
Betcha didn't know anyone can drive a pontoon.
Chillaxin'
Kory let Tessa borrow his Power Rangers fishing pole.
Seaweed – a great first catch
Come on in! The water's fine!
Jessica helped our little fish.
Tessa & Mima spotted a (loony) loon.
Kamp Dels was the.best.ever. From what we saw, anyway...we didn't actually stay there. :)
Tweeeeet! You, out of the lake, 5 minutes!
"Sign, sign, everywhere a sign
Blockin' out the scenery, breakin' my mind
Do this, don't do that, can't you read the sign?"

A weekend trip to Lake Sakatah signaled the end of our summer, as Eric and Tessa both started school on Aug. 22. We played, we ate, we laughed, we cried. Good times all around. Looking forward to next year's trip!

Post birthday bash with Kory & friends

An intense reading of "Raindrop Plop."
We visited the Falls...
Dana, Jessica (Ginger), Tessa & Kory
(Side note: In college, I ripped my jeans climbing on this buffalo statue...no wardrobe malfunctions occurred this time.)

Kory and two of his friends from college got a taste of South Dakota livin', rather, Trygstad livin' — watching PBS kids, antiquing in Canton, the can't-miss visit to Falls Park, window shopping downtown and supper at Johnny Carino's.

3rd birthday bash

Rock on, party people!
Eric did a great job dressing the part with his faux hawk and punker tie.
Tessa & John – seeing stars!
Tessa sandwich!
It takes more effort to blow out three candles.
Everybody say "Rock star!"
Grandpa & his girl
These kiddos share a love of this scooter. I'm pretty sure they're already bffs.
Aunt Natalie!
"Hey boys, what's up?"
Tessa had a BLAST at her third birthday partay. She is a very blessed little girl. Thanks, everyone, for celebrating with us!

First dentist visit

It's ridiculous how happy she is sitting in the dentist chair. She was cavity-free!

Top o' the scorching afternoon to ye!

Aka, Irish Fest with Mima, Aaron & Jessica

Our little kitty
Balloon turtle that Tessa named Sam
Eric tries to teach her croquet...
Apparently there are different rules for 3-year-olds...
One must stop to pose with the croquet ball, naturally...
Tessa decided she had enough with croquet and proceeded to use the ring as a hula hoop...
...a skill we didn't know she possessed.
Get the bag in a bucket...
Win a prize!

Pre-birthday bash

Aaron & Jessica gave her a preschooler-proof digital camera for her birthday.
Greta Girl, meet Greta

Big girl bed

It seems like just yesterday when Eric was assembling her crib. Customer support wasn't needed this time.
Tessa napped while we rearranged her room. (And cleaned in corners that haven't been touched for two years.)
She is pleased with the results.
This reversible bedding ensemble can be styled in 20 different ways! Oh the possibilities! Now I know what to do on my lazy weekend afternoons!

What a difference two years makes
